Kids BookFest 5.0
Our 5th time participating in Kids Bookfest by The Safaa Safiyyah Publication on 25th July 2026 was special as we were accompanied by our young enthusiastic entrepreneur, Hana.
The Safaa Safiyyah Publication has been organizing kids booths in addition to the normal retail booths for HBBs and various businesses and Kids Bookfest 5.0 is the first time that Hana has expressed her own intention of wanting to join the kids booths and sell her crafts.
She decided to sell her handmade origami items such as the chatterbox game and corner bookmarks and she also sold her hand drawn 3D keychains which were questionable in design ( ˃▾˂ ), but then again, art, is subjective and that is her own artist impression. It is indeed creative and she expressed her art in her own perspective in her age. Her booth also featured preloved books and toys.
It is her first debut in this scene and had thoroughly enjoyed herself. It surprised me that she had managed her booth well (i expected her to not be able to stay still and try to run around and play, abandoning her booth - but she did not! so wrong of me!) she actually was super committed and many times my husband and I peeked and she was explaining her items enthusiastically to customers and was very well versed on what she is selling. Masya Allah!
She also had the best team work with her friends who happened to be there as their parents, like myself also had booths in the event. And they actually ended up working together to pack items and attend to customers (It was their own decision!). Quite excitedly accompanied by her friends Afea and Nusaybah, she did not want me to be around her as she wanted to do it herself together with her friends. Allahumma Barik and May Allah bless these little souls.
